Pre-order our 2027 Calendar
Updated: Oct 1
We are thrilled to be launching our first ever calendar to raise vital funds for the wildlife in our care. Our admission rates to our wildlife hospital continue to soar, year on year, so please support our work by either treating yourself to one, or why not get one for your friends and family.
The calendar features animals whose lives we have saved over the past year, with each page sponsored by a supporting business.
“Whilst the precious animals featured in the calendar are just a tiny sample of the many hundreds of patients we have admitted this year, they show the huge range of species we care for in our animal hospital,” says Penny Hunt, YDWR Co-founder. “This year has been horrendous for wildlife. In 2025, we admitted 750 animals. This year, we have already admitted way over that - 930 animals between January and September. We work extremely hard to give each animal the best possible care but, along with the additional pressure of more patients, comes lots of additional cost. Sales of this calendar will make a real difference, helping us pay for all the additional medicines, food and equipment we need to help save these animals’ lives.”
Twelve businesses have joined together to sponsor the calendar:
Ambry Bakery, Austwick Kingsway Vets, Skipton
Ashlands Vets, Ilkley RJS Haulage, Settle
Bowlander, Clitheroe Positive Planet, Manchester
Efixx, Skipton Skipton Building Society, Settle branch
Field to Home, Settle The Dalesman Curiosity Shop, Gargrave

“We are truly grateful to every one of our sponsors,” adds Jane Carpenter, YDWR Co-founder. “Without their support this project would not have happened. Every penny raised by the sale of these calendars will help us care for more sick, orphaned or injured animals - many of them endangered - giving them a second chance at life. We hope everyone loves the calendar - it’s the perfect Christmas gift!”
The animals featured in the calendar are: baby hedgehog (January); curlew (February); baby badger (March); cuckoo (April); baby polecat (May); baby goosander (June); duckling (July); red kite (August); baby hares (September); tawny owlets (October); fawn (November); and young barn owls (December).
